Like so many conservation groups, the Elakha Alliance is moving online to tell it story.  The alliance, which Oregon Shores helped to found, is dedicated to exploring the possibility of reintroducing sea otters to Oregon.  The Elakha Alliance and the Oregon Chapter of The Wildlife Society have announced a first, introductory webinar that tells the unfinished story of sea otters in Oregon. This virtual sea otter encounter takes place on Tuesday, May 19, 7 p.m.

The webinar will be presented by Bob Bailey, the alliance’s board chair (and a former Oregon Shores board member), and Jon Goodell, the community relations director.  Learn about sea otter history and conservation, and the impact of these animals on coastal ecology. The webinar will explore the potential for restoring a key piece of Oregon’s natural legacy.

Everyone is welcome, but it is necessary to register.  Sign up and you will be emailed the link and password information.
